EDGE ACADEMICS

At EDGE Sports Academy, we offer tailored academic support alongside our athletic training, ensuring each student’s needs are met within a flexible environment. For our Grind program (6th-8th grade), we’ve partnered with Gem Prep Online Charter School to provide an online curriculum, with an on-site educator to guide students through their coursework, help them stay on track, and communicate with parents about progress. This program combines 3.5 hours of academics in the morning and 2.5-3 hours of basketball in the afternoon, with Fridays reserved for catching up on work and exploring electives.Additionally, if you are a family with a curriculum already in place for your middle school student (such as homeschooling), that is absolutely fine. The key difference is that our on-site educator will not be responsible for holding these students accountable, as they won’t be familiar with the specific curriculum. We will rely on parents to oversee their child’s progress, but our on-site educator will still be there to help keep these students on task and focused during school hours.

For high school students in the Excel program and post-grads in the College Prep program, we offer flexibility without a streamlined curriculum, recognizing that each student's academic journey is unique. Whether students are fully online, part-time in person, or homeschooled, we work with each individual to structure a schedule that accommodates their needs while ensuring they stay on track academically.

While our Explore/Drive program doesn't offer academics, we are open to discussing full-time academic options for 5th grade students interested in pursuing both academics and sports at EDGE.
